Karen Watson – Clinical Psychologist
Karen is a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience across public, private, and hospital settings, and has worked in private practice since 2019. After graduating with Honours in 2010, she began her career in suicide prevention and gained broad experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and relationship challenges.
In 2017, Karen completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Newcastle, where she developed a strong interest in cognitive and academic assessment for children, adolescents, and adults. This remains a key area of practice, helping identify learning strengths and challenges, including specific learning disorders such as dyslexia and dysgraphia.
Karen has worked in both mainstream and supported education settings with students who have complex learning needs or mental health presentations. She has also worked in a private hospital inpatient mental health unit, providing individual and group therapy for adults with a wide range of psychological concerns.
Karen offers a warm, evidence-based approach focused on turning insight into practical strategies that improve daily life. Her goal is to help people gain clarity, build capability, and make meaningful, lasting progress.
